The Federal Government of Nigeria represented by the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Pantami is to commission a centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in Abuja today.
This is according to a tweet by the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.
The newly completed centre is located at wuye, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The project was carried out by the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, and the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA.
The centre is equipped with state of the Arts facilities that include
- Digital Innovation Lab
- Marketspace and Fablab Infrastructure
- Printed Circuit Board Facilities
- 3D Printer
- Abuja MIT Real office
- Co-working space for startups and Training facilities.
The Centre is to enhance the country's Digital Economy And expected to improve the ICT skills of Young Nigerians and make them globally competitive in Digital skills. This is in line with the 2019 National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy, NDEPS.
