Nigerian music icon and actress Onyeka Onwenu has reportedly passed away at the age of 72. Sources say she collapsed on Tuesday night during a birthday celebration for Mrs. Stella Okoli, held at Reddington Hospital in Lagos. Despite immediate medical attention, she could not be revived. An eyewitness at the event confirmed the incident, expressing sorrow over the sudden loss. "It is heartbreaking. Onyeka Onwenu had just finished performing at Mrs. Stella Okoli's birthday party on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, when she collapsed." Although her family has yet to officially announce her passing, Onwenu’s legacy endures through her influential music albums, such as *In The Morning Light* and *Dancing In The Sun*, as well as her roles in notable films like *Half of a Yellow Sun* and *Lionheart*.

  Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki, and his wife Nneoma Nwaijah have joyfully announced the birth of their baby boy. Aki shared the news on his Instagram account on Saturday, writing, “My wonderful people, please rejoice with us. My wife and I have welcomed a bouncing baby boy. To God Be The Glory.” The couple, who married in 2011, previously welcomed their first child in January 2017.
