Nollywood Actor Junior Pope Odonwodo, Known as Jnr Pope, Dies in Tragic Boat Accident

In a shocking turn of events, Nollywood has been hit with the tragic news of the death of popular actor Junior Pope Odonwodo, affectionately known as Jnr Pope. The actor met his untimely demise during a filming session in Asaba, the Delta State capital.

The unfortunate incident occurred this afternoon when the boat carrying the actor and two other unidentified actors capsized, leading to their drowning. Despite efforts to rescue them, Jnr Pope and his companions could not be saved.

Delta State Chairman of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emma Onyemeziem, confirmed the heartbreaking news. The actor's lifeless body was recovered from the water and swiftly taken to a nearby hospital, where he was officially pronounced dead.
