The Big Brother Naija Season 5 titled "Big Brother Naija: Lockdown" is the 5th edition of the Nigerian version of the Big Brother Reality Show. It started on 19 July 2020 and is expected to end on 27 September 2020. Ebuka Obi Uchendu, an ex housemate from season 1 will continue to hosttge show.
Audition
Unlike previous seasons, the Big Brother Naija Season 5 Audition was virtual. Contestants were asked to submit a two minutes video starting why they should appear on the show. Over 30,000 application were received after which only 20 housemate were selected.

Prize
The prize worth for the Big Brother Naija Season 5 is N85 Million. The is an increase from the N60 million given to the season 4 winner. Apart from the money the winner gets at the end of the show. They might also get various endorsement deals as a result of their new found fame.
Laycon as the winner of the show was presented with the prize by MultiChoice Nigeria. They include

Big Brother Naija Season 5 Winner
Olamilekan Agbelesebioba commonly known as Laycon is the winner of Big Brother Naija 2020 (season 5).
After 6 weeks of intense drama and entertainment. Just 5 housemates remained during the final week of the BBN show, these were Dorathy, Nengi, Vee, Neo, and Laycon.
After a series of evictions, on the 27th of September 2020, Laycon was announced as the winner of BBnaija with over 60 percent of the votes while Dorathy came second place.
